Who Is Ashley, Anyway?

Born and raised in small-town Saint Cloud, FL, Ashley grew up loving theme parks, the library, and singing along to CDs in the car with her mom (most notably, Grease, Wicked, and her first musical love, Little Shop of Horrors). Despite weekly ballet and tap classes, her first real taste of theatre actually came from a dare - she signed-up to audition for her middle school's musical, was cast as an Oompa Loompa and never looked back! She spent her middle school and high school years auditioning and growing as a performer, knowing that whatever direction her life led, she would always be dreaming of the stage.

In 2020, Ashley graduated Cum Laude (with Honors!) from Valdosta State University, where she got her BFA in Theatre Arts, double emphasizing in Performance and Management. While there she was not only able to perform in multiple mainstage, blackbox, and TYA touring shows, she got a taste of what theatre had to offer off-stage: assistant stage managing, directing one-act shows, and managing not only her theater's box office, but the box office of the local summer stock.

After graduation, Ashley made the move to Atlanta, GA with her cat, Calliope, in tow, beyond giddy to get back to work after the pandemic. Since her big move, Ashley has had many unique performance opportunities, from a dinosaur meet n' greet at Stone Mountain Park, to playing many silly, dancing characters at The World of Coca-Cola (yes, she even got to play the Polar Bear!) She has had wonderful performance opportunities throughout the Atlanta area, including "Hercule Poirot" in Murder On the Orient Express, "Heather McNamara / Gretchen Weiners" in Heathers vs. Plastics, and "Nick Bottom" in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and has gotten to work behind the table in multiple facets, gaining experience as a director, choreographer, fight choreographer, and teaching artist!

Now she lives with her two cats and her partner (hey, he's a performer too! you should cast them - they have great â€‹chemistry!) When she's not auditioning away, you can find her buried in a book, wandering in search of new sweet treat spots, and doing just about anything to get her friends to laugh! During the day she works in a historical theater as their Assistant Manager, helping to build a theatrical education program, and is always aspiring to help bring a love of theatre to the next wide-eyed generation.
